About
After completing his undergraduate education at Istanbul University, Faculty of Letters, Department of Archeology and Art History in 1986, he completed his master's and doctoral studies in the Western Art and Contemporary Arts Program at Mimar Sinan University Social Sciences Institute. Master's thesis Women's Jewelry in Byzantine Art, if it is a doctoral thesis Iconoclasm Period Architecture in Byzantine Art and Painting Art Related to Architecture is about. He is a faculty member at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University, Department of Art History. His scholarly work has focused on medieval archeology, small crafts, and medieval architecture. He has published important small finds unearthed during archaeological excavations in Late Antique and Medieval Christian settlements and located in museums. He is the head of the Balatlar Building Community archaeological excavation in Sinop, which started in 2010 and is still ongoing.
