Working on the beginning and spread of settled life based on agriculture and animal husbandry, environmental archeology and archeology policies, Özdogan has focused his research on the Kırklareli region in recent years; Among the institutions he is a member of are the United States Academy of Sciences (NAS), Academia Europa, Shanghai Archeology Forum, European Science Board (ERC) panel membership (2013 -2022 ), Founding Member of the Prehistory Academy (AIPP) (2022 - ). He has 26 published books and 351 scientific articles.

Panel member of European Research Council (ERC) (2013 – 2022), International Academy of Prehistoric Archeology, founder member (2022- ); He has published 26 books and 351 academic papers.
