Associate Professor Zeynep ERES

Zeynep Eres, who graduated from ITU Faculty of Architecture, Department of Architecture in 1995, completed her master's and doctoral studies in the Department of Restoration at the same institution. He has been working as a conservation specialist architect in Kırklareli Aşağı Pınar and Kanlıgeçit excavations since 1996 and has been implementing the open-air museums of both areas. Between 2000-2004, he took part in the development of the TÜBA Cultural Inventory Rural architecture inventory system and the studies of Ş.Urfa Birecik-Suruç pilot region and Bursa Karsak Village. He took part in rural and urban architectural documentation studies in different regions such as Thrace, Malatya, Kars, Mardin, Antakya, Kilis, and Tarsus. Archaeological site conservation, cultural inventory, documentation and preservation of traditional rural architecture, architectural dimension of modernization in rural areas in Türkiye, the relationship between cultural heritage and tourism constitute the main study subjects. He is a member of the ICOMOS Türkiye National Committee and ICOMOS ICAHM (International Scientific Committee for the Management of Archaeological Heritage) Türkiye. Correspondent member of the German Archaeological Institute. He is a member of the Shanghai Archaeological Forum Advisory Board. He is a member of the Concrete Cultural Heritage Specialization Committee of the UNESCO Türkiye National Commission. He is a member of TMMOB Chamber of Architects Central Board of Directors. He works as a lecturer in the Department of Architecture at ITU Faculty of Architecture.
