Ethical Responsibilities of the Editor and Scientific Committee<\/b><\/p>\n

  • The editor has full responsibility and authority to accept or reject an article.<\/li>\n
  • The Scientific Board deals with the scientific content and writing rules associated with the journal.<\/li>\n
  • The Scientific Committee should not have a conflict of interest regarding the accepted or rejected articles.<\/li>\n
  • The Scientific Committee should only accept articles that will contribute to the field.<\/li>\n
  • The Scientific Committee should support the publication or withdrawal of the correction when errors are found.<\/li>\n
  • The editor should keep the names of the referees confidential and prevent plagiarism\/fake data.<\/li>\n
  • The editor will take reasonable steps to identify and prevent publication of articles where research misconduct occurs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Ethical Responsibilities of Referees <\/b><\/p>\n

    • All articles will be subject to peer-review process, and if necessary, they will be discussed in the scientific committee of the journal. Comments from the referees are forwarded to the authors and when necessary, the author is asked to revise the article.<\/li>\n
    • JOVA applies the principle of one-way blind refereeing, in which the author(s) do not know the referees and the referees see the names of the authors during the article evaluation process.<\/li>\n
    • Peer review is defined as getting advice on individual articles from reviewers' experts in the field.<\/li>\n
    • Judges' decisions must be objective.<\/li>\n
    • Referees should not have a conflict of interest.<\/li>\n
    • Referees should cite works that have been published but not yet cited.<\/li>\n
    • Reviewers should keep the reviewed articles confidential. Reviewers cannot communicate directly with authors; Article evaluation forms and notes on the text are forwarded to the author(s) by the editors.<\/li>\n
    • Regarding the articles evaluated by the referees,Referee Evaluation Form<\/b>They must fill in the . In this form, the referees are required to state their decision on whether the article they are evaluating is publishable or not, and the reasons for their decision.<\/li>\n
    • JOVA does not pay any fee to referees for article evaluation processes at any stage.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Ethical Responsibilities of Authors <\/b><\/p>\n

      • Authors should include a statement that they comply with research and publication ethics in their articles.<\/li>\n
      • Authors must comply with copyright regulations for the intellectual and artistic works they use. Authors must obtain permission from the copyright holder when using previously published content, including images, tables or any other content in print or electronic format. All legal, financial and penal responsibilities in this matter belong to the authors.<\/li>\n
      • Authors are obliged to participate in the referee evaluation process. All articles submitted to JOVA are evaluated through a single-blind peer-review process.<\/li>\n
      • All authors must contribute significantly to the research. Author(s) should cite the sources they used in their articles correctly and should prepare their articles in accordance with the 'Notes to Authors (Writing Rules and Citation Formats)' determined by the journal.<\/li>\n
      • All authors are responsible for ensuring that errors are retracted or corrected.<\/li>\n
      • Articles should not be submitted to a journal other than JOVA for simultaneous publication. Translations of articles published elsewhere are not accepted for publication on JOVA. Authors should be aware that the copyright of the materials contained in JOVA belongs to JOVA journal.<\/li>\n
      • JOVA requests the authors to obtain an approved permit from the Directorate of Excavations or the Museum Directorate, in case the photographs are used in the articles from the archives of excavations, excavation archives or museums.<\/li>\n
      • In the publications made as a result of the research carried out with support, the people, institutions or organizations that support them and their contributions should be stated.<\/li>\n
      • If the article is produced from the author's master's or doctoral thesis or from a project, this should be stated. Slicing, that is, publishing more than one article from a single study should not be done.<\/li>\n
      • After the author(s) receive the information that their article has been accepted for publication, theCopyright Transfer Form<\/b>They should send it to the editors both electronically and by mail.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        Privacy Statement<\/b><\/p>\n

        All data (name, personal information such as e-mail addresses, etc.) are used only for scientific studies of the journal. This data is not used for any other purpose and is not shared with third parties.<\/p>\n

        Copyright and Licensing<\/b><\/p>\n

        The authors are responsible for the opinions and suggestions in the articles and the accuracy of the sources. No copyright is paid to the articles published in the Journal. By agreeing to waive the copyright of their articles, the authors transfer the copyright of the articles accepted for publication to JOVA.<\/p>\n

        Open Access Statement<\/b><\/p>\n

        JOVA is an Open Access journal and makes its published content directly open access. With the content it publishes, the journal aims to contribute to the support and development of science with the Open Access Policy.<\/p>\n
